Account Manager - Truck Sales
Job Overview: The Account Manager - Truck Sales is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of commercial truck sales accounts. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions to drive sales and meet revenue goals. The ideal candidate will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
This is a Direct Hire role.
What you will be doing as a Account Manager - Truck Sales
- Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial truck sales accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations.
- Serve as the primary contact for customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned territory or customer base.
- Conduct needs assessments to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate truck solutions.
- Develop and present customized proposals and quotes, negotiating terms, and closing sales.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets through proactive account management and business development.
- Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
- Provide feedback to the sales team and management on customer preferences and potential growth areas.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and promotions.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless order processing and delivery.
- Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Manage the resolution of issues related to truck delivery, warranty, or service, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
- Prepare regular reports on account status, sales performance, and market trends.
- Ensure all sales documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Some mechanical knowledge preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial truck specifications and market trends is highly desirable.
- Travel within the assigned territory may be required.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or account management, preferably in the automotive or commercial truck industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- A combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
