Transportation Client Service Manager - West Palm Beach, FL

They are currently seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial individual to spearhead business development activities for both existing and potential transportation clients in the West Palm Beach metropolitan area and across southeast Florida.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a strategic vision and plan to expand our client's presence in Florida, enhancing sales and revenue in the transportation sector.
- Establish and nurture close client relationships, including but not limited to the Florida Department of Transportation, Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, and various county and municipal entities.
- Manage client selection, prioritization, and the development of client account plans, identifying project opportunities and coordinating pursuit efforts.
- Lead strategic client relationship planning, aligning our key team members with essential client staff.
- Make Go/No-go decision-making for project opportunities with input from senior staff.
- Direct pre-positioning activities prior to client advertising and involve key local and market team members in these efforts.
- Oversee the business development budget and manage contract procedures, client invoicing, and collections.
- Stay informed about client selection processes and innovate creative project development approaches.
- Actively participate in professional organizations such as ASCE and ACEC, and maintain a network of professional contacts to support recruitment efforts.
- Provide leadership throughout project execution phases and focus on client satisfaction.
Background Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Business Administration.
- At least 10+ years of relevant experience in consulting engineering or state department of transportation settings.
- Proven networking abilities and knowledge of funding sources for transportation projects.
- Although not mandatory, a license as a Professional Engineer, AICP, or PTOE is preferred.
The chosen candidate will be primarily based in the West Palm Beach, Florida office, with frequent travel required throughout the state and occasional trips out of state.
