This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, solutions-driven individual to oversee and manage a variety of structural engineering projects across public and private sectors, including government, utilities, healthcare, education, and more. In this role you will be responsible for managing multiple projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with established engineering standards. You will lead cross-functional teams, working closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to drive project success.

This is a Direct Hire role.

What you will be doing as a Structural Project Manager…

  • Perform structural analysis and design in accordance with industry standards and building codes. Provide engineering solutions that are both cost-effective and technically sound.
  • Lead project teams by providing guidance and support throughout the lifecycle of the project. Foster a collaborative work environment and mentor junior engineers to help them grow professionally.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders (including clients, architects, and contractors) to define project goals, requirements, and deliverables. Resolve project issues and ensure alignment across all parties.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules and budgets. Ensure resources are allocated efficiently to meet deadlines and minimize costs.
  • Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with design requirements. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
  • Provide ongoing construction support, including responding to RFIs (Requests for Information), reviewing submittals, conducting site visits, and managing design revisions or changes.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing concerns and ensuring high levels of satisfaction throughout the project.

Skills you ideally bring to the table as a Structural Project Manager…
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering, with a proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects.
  • Deep understanding of structural engineering principles, codes (e.g., IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC), and design standards.
  • Proficiency in structural engineering software (e.g., RISA 3D or similar tools).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines and budget goals.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive client relationships and deliver exceptional service.
