Position: Sr. Simulation Software Engineer (Contract to Hire)

Role Overview:

Join us as a Sr. Simulation Software Engineer, where you will be instrumental in developing state-of-the-art high fidelity aircraft simulators. Your expertise will support vital validation and verification activities, encompassing quality and human factor evaluations, as well as test pilot training. You will collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to integrate and manage aircraft hardware and simulation models within a cutting-edge hardware-in-the-loop environment. Your responsibilities will include crafting simulation models and sophisticated graphical user interfaces for the control of real-time simulations, alongside implementing test plans and automation strategies.

Essential Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in simulation software engineering or a related field.
• A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in developing on commercial off-the-shelf HIL platforms like NI or dSPACE.
• Expertise in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and developing physical system models from specifications.
• In-depth knowledge of communication standards and protocols (RS-422/485, CAN/CAN-FD, ARINC-429, Ethernet, TCP/IP, USB, etc.).
• Experience in GUI prototyping and employing standard software development tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, Artifactory, SVN, Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Zendesk, and MantisBT.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with real-time HIL aircraft simulation development.
• Proficiency in the NI software suite (LabVIEW, VeriStand).
• Skill in test plan automation and execution.
• Knowledge of fault injection methods.
• Programming prowess in C\C++ or other low-level programming languages.
• Expertise in Matlab/Simulink for model-based development.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment like oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers.
• Exposure to AR, VR, or multi-projector technologies.
• Involvement in FHA evaluations and a keen interest or background in aviation.
