Pilots demand efficient, life like training to face today's challenges and the unforeseen threats of the future.
This ambition fuels our every effort in the Air Combat Test & Training (ACTT) department. Committed to transforming airborne pilot training for the U.S. Navy and Air Force's next-gen fighter jets, our client takes pride in its leading-edge product, the Tactical Combat Training System Increment II (TCTS II). This in-flight training system, mounted directly on the aircraft, offers unparalleled operational realism to America's elite fighter pilots. Our team specializes in the design, integration, and support of some of the most intricate and expansive solutions, previously under the umbrella of our client.
Joining our Integration and Range Deployment team as a Systems Engineer, you'll be at the heart of a driven and knowledgeable group, dedicated to developing, testing, refining, maintaining, and deploying these sophisticated training systems. This position offers a distinct opportunity to play a pivotal role in advancing fighter pilot training and truly making an impact
Your Responsibilities:
- Engage directly with cutting-edge technology in fields like cryptography, data links, navigation, communication, networking, and command and control.
- Participate in travel to military bases for support in lab testing, flight testing, installations, and deployments.
- Take the lead in project teams and initiatives.
- Conduct software deployment and testing on actual TCTS II hardware.
- Work collaboratively to diagnose and enhance system efficiency.
- Address and resolve system issues, guaranteeing system readiness for military deployment.
- Develop realistic, high-fidelity simulations across various fighter jet scenarios.
- Act as a go-to resource for system operations and functionality across the department.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (excluding internships), or 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree, in accordance with local laws/regulations.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be eligible to obtain or currently hold a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Selection is contingent upon passing a government security investigation/reinstatement and meeting eligibility criteria.
Essential Skills:
- Strong interpersonal abilities with proven leadership in project teams.
- Proficiency in at least one software development language (C++, Python, Java).
- Experience in hardware, software, or system-level testing.
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to develop solutions to complex issues.
- Quick learning capability and efficiency in dynamic settings with minimal guidance.
Additional Skills Appreciated:
- A foundational understanding of networking (UDP and IPv4).
- Openness to travel to client sites and events.
- Python experience.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
