?? Mission Overview: Sr. Quality Engineer

Position Summary: Embark on a thrilling quest in the realm of quality manufacturing, inspection mastery, and process innovation! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, involves crafting superior inspection methods, refining work instructions, charting out inspection/sampling plans, diving deep into the mysteries of nonconformances, championing corrective actions, unraveling statistical enigmas, leading internal audits, and being a crusader for continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Quality Engineering Superhero: Provide support within the domains of manufacturing, engineering, setup, programming, and finishing. Your toolkit will include:
    • Developing cutting-edge inspection and testing methods.
    • Inspecting in-process and completed parts using your eagle eyes and high-tech equipment.
    • Reading and interpreting the language of drawings, specifications, and procedures.
    • Crafting detailed test reports, sampling procedures, and inspection instructions.
    • Liaising with various teams to discuss non-conformances, corrective actions, and continuous improvement strategies.
    • Playing detective in root cause analysis and implementing robust corrective actions.
    • Educating and guiding quality inspectors to ensure compliance with our quality management system.
    • Participating in and leading continuous improvement activities like 5S, Kaizen, and lean methods.

 Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, manufacturing, industrial) or a saga of equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in a realm similar to ours.
  • Background in manufacturing engineering or machining wizardry.
  • Knowledge of quality tools/SIX SIGMA (like FMEA, DOE, Gauge R&R, SPC).
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Skills in solid modeling/CAD, such as SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with metrology and statistical methods.
  • Intermediate to advanced mastery of Excel or other statistical analysis programs.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work with globally dispersed teams.
  • Willingness to travel across domestic lands or between NH facilities (about 10% of your time).
