Salesforce Mulesoft Developer
This is a Contract role.
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Mulesoft Developer to design, develop, and optimize seamless integrations between Salesforce and various enterprise applications using Mulesoft Anypoint Platform.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Mulesoft API development, Salesforce integration best practices, and secure data exchange across systems.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure integrations are scalable, performant, and secure.
Key Responsibilities
1. API & Integration Development
- Design, develop, and deploy Mulesoft APIs (RAML, REST, SOAP, JSON, XML) to enable Salesforce integrations.
- Build and optimize real-time, batch, and event-driven integrations between Salesforce and ERP, CRM, databases, and third-party applications.
- Develop and manage Mule Flows, Message Processors, Connectors, and Transformers.
- Ensure integrations adhere to high standards of performance, availability, and security.
2. Salesforce Integration Expertise
- Leverage Mulesoft connectors to integrate Salesforce with cloud and on-premises systems.
- Utilize Salesforce APIs including REST, SOAP, Bulk, Streaming, and Metadata APIs.
- Implement and manage OAuth authentication, SAML, SSO, and API Gateway policies.
- Troubleshoot integration errors, and implement robust logging and error handling mechanisms.
3. Solution Architecture & Best Practices
- Define and implement integration patterns (point-to-point, hub-and-spoke, pub-sub).
- Establish and enforce data transformation, mapping, and validation rules.
- Optimize API performance through caching, throttling, and load balancing.
- Ensure all integration designs comply with data governance, security policies, and regulatory standards.
4. CI/CD & Deployment
- Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Maven, or Bitbucket.
- Deploy APIs across CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, or Hybrid environments.
- Conduct comprehensive unit, integration, and performance testing.
5. Collaboration & Support
- Partner with Salesforce Admins, Developers, Architects, and Business Analysts to capture integration requirements.
- Provide technical leadership, including documentation and knowledge sharing across teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal disruption and effective root cause analysis.
Required Skills
- Mulesoft Anypoint Platform – Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience.
- Strong experience with Salesforce integrations, including Salesforce APIs and integration best practices.
- Expertise in API development – REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, RAML, OAuth, and API Gateway configurations.
- Strong skills in DataWeave, XSLT, JavaScript, SQL, and ETL concepts.
- Experience with CI/CD & DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, CloudHub, Docker, or Kubernetes (experience with at least 2 is preferred).
- Solid understanding of API security including OAuth, JWT, TLS, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working within Agile/Scrum teams, using tools like Jira and Confluence.
Preferred Certifications
- Mulesoft Certified Developer – Level 1 (Required)
- Salesforce Integration Architect (Preferred)
Desired Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with Salesforce Integration Architect concepts and patterns.
- Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in large, enterprise environments with complex system landscapes.
