OBJECTIVE:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven SLED Sales Executive to join our team. This role will focus on expanding our client’s market presence with both existing and new accounts in the State, Local, and Education (SLED) market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and will utilize a consultative selling process to uncover customer challenges and offer tailored solutions.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Achieve Revenue Quotas: Work with new and existing customers to solve challenges that lead to revenue generation.

Meet Managed Services Quota: Actively pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals. Use a consultative selling model to create new business.

Market Planning: Collaborate with the construction sales team to ensure bid opportunities receive follow-ups. Manage a portfolio of 300 assigned accounts within your territory. Attend trade shows to drive results.

Customer Engagement:

•Partner with the construction sales team to support bid efforts.

•Engage directly with end-users for all bids placed by our client.

•Build strong, lasting customer relationships by understanding their business and leveraging technology to optimize operations.

•Develop and submit comprehensive proposals based on assessed client needs.

SLED Industry Expertise:

•Gain a deep understanding of the SLED vertical.

•Attend relevant trade shows and work with existing accounts to identify challenges and develop tailored solutions.

Value Selling: Use a consultative approach to properly qualify and align customer needs with the value of our client’s services.

Professional Image: Maintain the highest level of professionalism through presentations, marketing materials, events, quotes, and proposals.

Strategic Account Planning: Conduct annual account reviews to ensure alignment with business goals.

Commitment to Customer Experience: Ensure seamless handoffs between sales and service teams to create outstanding customer experiences. Utilize APS and CBR processes to enhance client interactions.

CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions in Salesforce to improve forecasting and managed service revenue predictions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

•High school diploma or equivalent.

•Proven leadership experience in sports, civic clubs, or academic organizations.

• At least three years of successful sales experience in the enterprise space.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•Background in technology sales.

• Experience in Managed Services sales.

•Current experience selling in the Manufacturing (MFG) vertical.

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Strong knowledge of communication systems, including audio, video, security, fire alarm, wireless, and data networks.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Excel.

•Experience using Salesforce CRM.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to analyze problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.

•Strong verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, sit, and use hands and fingers.

•Some light lifting required.

•Must be able to adjust focus and have good depth perception.

•High intellectual ability and judgment required for problem-solving.

Work environment: Primarily office-based, with moderate noise levels. Occasional outdoor activities subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
