SSD Test Engineer - Contract

Location: Hybrid position, with 3 days per week onsite at our client's San Jose office and the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the time.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct OCP compliance tests for datacenter SSDs.
• Perform failure analysis from the host/system side, collecting and analyzing debug information such as device logs and bus traces.
• Develop test cases for firmware feature validation on Linux or Windows platforms.
• Provide support at OEM sites, collecting logs or bus traces for failure analysis.

Requirements:

What You Bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar majors with 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar majors with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with system or device-level issue analysis.
• Proficiency in storage protocols (e.g., NVMe/PCIe) and using logical/signal analyzers.
• Programming/scripting skills, preferably in Perl, Shell, or Python.
• Comfortable working in a multi-functional team environment.
• Familiarity with OCP specifications is a plus.
• Strong experience in test case development is a plus.
• Experience in system or device-level performance analysis.
