Recruiter/Social Media Coordinator

Job Overview: Our transportation client located on the Southwest side of the Waterloo–Cedar Falls Metropolitan area is seeking to add a NEW Recruiter/Social Media Coordinator to their team. The Recruiter/Social Media Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end recruitment process.

This is a Direct Hire role.

• Oversee all administrative aspects of the recruitment process
• Spearhead social media advertising and enhance the company's online presence
• Maintain and update company websites and social media accounts
• Develop and curate ongoing content for various social media platforms
• Execute and manage active advertising campaigns to attract qualified applicants for open positions
• Provide weekly recap reports to Company ownership and transportation teams
• Engage with potential recruits
• Monitor responses to advertisements on a daily basis
• Initiate phone conversations with applicants for initial discussions
• Schedule interviews with applicants and coordinate with Green Products supervisors
• Conduct relevant background checks and driving record assessments as needed
• Facilitate travel arrangements and accommodations for new hires
• Arrange motel accommodations during orientation when necessary
• Coordinate travel logistics for truck drivers relocating from outside the local area
• Organize orientation activities for new hires
• Coordinate off-site road tests and refresher training for new drivers
• Collaborate with various Green Products employees to schedule comprehensive orientation activities
• Conduct onboarding sessions for new hires, providing training on various trucking tools and practices

• Associate's degree preferred
• Prior recruiting/hiring experience
• Must have demonstrated social media and computer skills
  
• Must possess strong communication and writing skills
  
• Must be comfortable on the phone
