Quality Assurance Manager
Job Overview: Our Anoka client, is seeking an Assurance Manager to join their growing team!
This role plays a critical part in maintaining and improving ISO 17025 accreditation for both brick-and-mortar and mobile laboratories. The position will also oversee the adoption of new accreditation programs, track state and local licensing requirements, and ensure employee compliance with all applicable regulations. This role is instrumental in enabling business expansion into new markets while maintaining compliance in existing ones.

What you will be doing as a Quality Assurance Manager…
Compliance Program Management:
- Develop and manage compliance programs, policies, reporting, and practices, including ISO 17025 accreditation, AIHA accreditations, OSHA and EPA regulations, and state-specific licensing requirements for analytical and sampling activities.
- Ensure all operations adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations to ensure compliance programs are both effective and efficient.
Auditing and Performance Evaluation:
- Conduct internal and external audits, assessments, and inspections to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify compliance gaps, implement corrective actions, conduct root cause analysis, and monitor the effectiveness of solutions.
- Travel as needed to conduct in-person audits of mobile laboratories.
Liaison and External Collaboration:
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory and project-related matters, including interactions with external government agencies and organizations.
- Address compliance concerns, lead assessments, and collaborate with regulatory bodies to ensure resolution of issues.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or Regulatory Compliance) with 3+ years of experience in a regulatory or compliance-focused role.
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is highly desired.
- Proven track record of developing processes and systems that support environmental compliance while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Working knowledge of ISO standards or other accreditations related to quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Comprehensive understanding of U.S. federal, state, and local environmental testing laws, regulations, and licensing requirements.
- Prior experience in environmental testing, restoration, insurance, abatement, construction, or property management industries, preferably in a leadership or regulatory capacity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable plans for operational teams.
- Proven ability to drive initiatives, conduct root cause analyses, and implement effective corrective measures.
- Highly organized, data-driven, and tech-savvy, with proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint), databases, and reporting tools.
- Strong technical writing skills for drafting and authoring SOPs, compliance, and accreditation documents.
