Description
The Programmer/Analyst role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain software applications to support business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analysis of software programs and applications. This position will also conduct business process analysis, create training documentation, and support end users using these applications.

Responsibilities:

Designs, develops, and maintains systems and programs to meet business needs.
Writes specifications from which programs are developed and coded.
Designs new programs or enhancements to existing programs.
Design tables, forms, reports, and new modules to improve system efficiency.
Develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.
Performs diagnostic testing on programs, which may include reading code or running diagnostic software to detect syntax or logic errors.
Creates appropriate documentation.
Support end users of the software globally.
Other duties/responsibilities as assigned, or apparent.

Skills and Abilities:

Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver on time sensitive tasks.
Must be dependable, organized, and have a strong attention to detail.
Able to communicate effectively and professionally with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.
Flexible and adaptive to learning and understanding new technologies.
Experience with software development lifecycle and version control systems.
Experience working with MS Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate is a plus.
Understanding of Web Services (SOAP, REST, JSON, WCF) is a plus.
Linux experience is a plus.
Attendance is an essential function of the job.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.


Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or education and training
Exposure to programming languages such as C#, X++, SQL is preferred.
Familiarity with software development lifecycle and version control systems preferred.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite of applications.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Communicates via phone, email, in person.
Required to sit, perform keyboard work, for prolonged periods of time.
Operates a computer and other office machinery such as copy machine, and printer.

Occasionally

Lift and/or move up to 15 lbs.
Walk and use stairs to move throughout the building.
Travel for training and/or implementation.
Standard office environment. The noise level is typically low, due to office equipment.
