Program Manager - Electronics
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the Life Cycle Value Stream Management of assigned programs in the Defense Electronics and Advanced Harness business
- Build to Print Contract Manufacturing
- Responsible for Program Execution including the Scope, Schedule and Cost for multiple customer programs
- P&L responsibility for assigned programs
- Responsible for leading the pursuit of new business with existing customers/programs
Principal Accountabilities:
- Accountable for the overall relationship and customer satisfaction for assigned programs
- Accountable for program performance and program execution
- Alignment of internal and external resources to meet key customer program milestones and requirements
- Assignment and resolution of issues and actions to ensure timely delivery and execution of all program deliverables
- Maintain and grow program profitability
- Lead a cross-functional team from Manufacturing, Test, Quality, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Sales to drive program success
- Coordinate efforts to ensure proper customer expectations are fully understood and plans are in place to deliver on those commitments
- Identification and mitigation of program risks
- Identification and implementation of plans to level-load variations in customer demand
- Manage sub-contractor requirements, delivery and quality issues
- Conduct regular program reviews
- Internal leadership updates identifying current schedules, sales and orders forecasts, issues, risks and opportunities, risk mitigation plans, resource demands and current financial performance
- Customer program reviews identifying current schedules, risks and opportunities, mitigation plans and open issues
- Lead the pursuit and capture of new program business including proposal preparation, drafting statements of work, estimating costs, and contract negotiations
- Guide continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality
- Provide input on labor and capital project requirements
- Additional responsibilities as required
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of Program Management / Project Management or related experience
- Must have experience working in a customer facing role
- Experience working for the US DoD or a Defense contractor is highly desired
- BS/BA/AA in a technical field is highly desired
- An Engineering/Technical degree or strong technical work experience is a plus
- Must be detailed oriented with the ability to perform multiple tasks effectively with a focus of timeliness, responsiveness and accuracy
- Must have strong communication skills both written and oral
- Must have a positive, customer centric mindset
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience leading or supporting Pursuits is a plus
- Strong knowledge of electronic manufacturing and test a plus
- Strong knowledge of radio communications a plus
- Strong knowledge of Class III advanced harnesses a plus
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime if needed
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to stand, sit and move around the facility varying amounts
