Position: Principal Process Engineer
Employment Type: Direct Hire

Overview:
Our client seeks a Principal Process Engineer with expertise in Midstream and Refinery processes. This role involves contributing to projects from conception to construction, mentoring junior engineers, and overseeing the technical aspects of refinery and gas processing projects.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical guidance across all project phases.
• Lead and mentor a team of Process Engineers.
• Conduct basic and detailed design engineering according to client specifications.
• Own the process deliverables, including process simulations, design calculations, and equipment selection.
• Review client documents and specifications, ensuring compliance with initial design and project requirements.
• Evaluate vendor proposals and manage equipment selection.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to provide necessary engineering inputs.
• Develop start-up and operating manuals, participate in Process Hazard Analysis meetings, and support plant start-ups.

Requirements:

• Experience in refinery or gas processing facility simulations.
• Proficient with process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS, Unisim).
• Able to prepare equipment datasheets and size PSVs and Control valves.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
