Mitigation Technician

Job Overview: Our Albuquerque client, in the restoration industry, is seeking to add a NEW Mitigation Technician to their team. Join an industry-leading restoration team and make a meaningful impact in helping families and businesses recover after water, fire, and mold-related disasters. As a Mitigation Technician, you will support emergency response efforts, deliver high-quality restoration services, and maintain the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

What you will be doing as a Mitigation Technician …

  • Perform water extraction, structural drying, mold remediation, and fire damage restoration.
  • Assess damage levels and assist in developing effective mitigation plans.
  • Operate specialized equipment, including dehumidifiers, air movers, and cleaning/sanitizing tools.
  • Document job progress, complete required paperwork, and maintain accurate project records.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, team members, and supervisors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with industry and IICRC standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current on restoration techniques and best practices.
  • Support inventory management, equipment cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks.
Skills you ideally bring to the table as a Mitigation Technician …
  • High school diploma or equivalent; industry certifications (IICRC, etc.) preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in restoration, construction, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of water and fire damage mitigation processes and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, with solid troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting heavy equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Team-oriented mindset, strong work ethic, and positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
