Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Immigration Specialist to manage all facets of immigration and visa processing. This role is integral in providing guidance and support to employees, candidates, and hiring managers across a variety of immigration-related matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate immigration, deep knowledge of U.S. visa classifications, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to case management.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all aspects of employment-based immigration and visa services, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Provide timely, high-quality support to employees, candidates, and managers throughout the immigration process.
Advise hiring managers and candidates at the pre-offer stage, including immigration strategy recommendations.
Review and manage monthly visa extensions and green card status reports.
Initiate and coordinate visa and green card applications for new hires and current employees.
Support the export control review and clearance process.
Manage vendor invoicing: ensure timely submission, resolve discrepancies, and maintain billing accuracy.
Remain informed on evolving immigration legislation and implement updates into practice.
Prepare and review legal documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Collaborate with external counsel on complex immigration scenarios.
Maintain comprehensive tracking and documentation of all immigration cases.
Perform additional immigration-related duties as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in corporate immigration, preferably within a large multinational organization.
Expertise in non-immigrant visa types (H-1B, F-1, TN, L-1, O-1, E-3) and immigrant processes (PERM, I-140, AOS).
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex immigration topics clearly.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Committed to exceptional customer service and maintaining confidentiality.
Prior experience in a high-tech or global organization is strongly preferred.
