Foreman - Low Voltage Cabling

As the Foreman, you'll leverage your technical prowess while providing leadership, supervision, and coordination to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of Installation Technicians in various tasks including cable pulling, terminating CAT5 or CAT6, dressing and distributing frames, patching, and working with fiber optics.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and project requirements for proper installation practices.
• Provide guidance to Installation Technicians on cable termination, phone jacks, and splicing fiber optic cables with precision.
• Manage dressing and distribution frames to maintain organizational efficiency in cabling infrastructure.
• Supervise patching activities, anaerobic terminations, and installation of SC and LC connectors.
• Interpret schematic and line diagrams to guide accurate installations.
• Enforce compliance with industry standards to uphold superior workmanship.
• Coordinate conduit running and cable bending activities, utilizing digital multi-meters for testing.
• Demonstrate adept troubleshooting skills to promptly identify and resolve issues.
• Execute rack and stack work for efficient cable management.

Leadership and Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the installation team.
• Assign tasks and ensure efficient operation to meet project deadlines.
• Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Monitor and evaluate team performance, offering constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with project managers for smooth project execution.
• Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in low voltage cabling, network cabling, and fiber optic installation.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as BICSI, EIA, TIA, or NEC.
• Proficiency in cable pulling, connector termination, and fiber optics splicing.
• Ability to accurately interpret schematic and line diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements.
• Certification in relevant areas is advantageous.
