Commercial Lending Relationship Manager

The Commercial Lending Relationship Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial loan relationships while actively generating new business. This role requires demonstrated experience in commercial lending, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to grow and retain a client base. Key Responsibilities

• Develop new commercial banking relationships through proactive business development and networking

• Manage and expand an existing portfolio of commercial loan customers

• Evaluate loan requests and approve credits within assigned authority or present recommendations to management

• Analyze financial statements and credit data to assess borrower risk and repayment capacity

• Structure and negotiate loan terms and credit conditions that meet both client needs and bank policy

• Provide ongoing service and support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention

• Maintain compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field

• Minimum of two years of experience in commercial lending

• Proven ability to generate new business and retain long-term client relationships

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Professional appearance and demeanor

• Solid knowledge of commercial lending services, bank products, and credit structures

• Working knowledge of loan documentation, banking regulations, and internal credit policies

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess borrowing needs and identify repayment sources
