Saige Partners is seeking talented FPGA/ASIC Designers and Verification Engineers on a fulltime bases. Our client is a global leader in the avionics and defense industry offering a great company culture, pay and benefits as well as a generous relocation package and sign-on bonus. We have multiple roles with varying levels of experience for Designers and Verification Engineers in several locations to include Oregon and Iowa. Onsite is preferred in any one of these locations but remote is an option for certain roles if relocation is not possible.

What you will be doing:

Design Engineers:

  • Design FPGAs for commercial and military Head Up Displays, Helmet Mounted Displays, and Avionics Vision Systems
  • Define requirements for a new design and develop requirements specifications
  • Perform conceptual design-including block diagram, trade off studies and design reviews
  • Perform detailed design-including implementation, design analysis, and design reviews
  • Support board level integration
  • Perform functional tests and design verification tests
  • Present FPGA for FAA SOI Audits per DO-254
  • Oversee efforts and train less experienced designers

Verification Engineers:

  • Create verification documentation in accordance with DO-254
  • Perform verification activities to satisfy objectives of DO-254
  • Participate in audits to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements

Minimum skills your bring and requirements...

  • Bachelor’s degree (Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) ) and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 2 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 5 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Skills with FPGA Design and Verification

Preferred skills you bring to the table...

  • Avionics, defense, FDA or Automotive industry experience
  • Digital Board Design and/or verification
  • Experience in VHDL, Verilog and/or System Verilog
  • Experience with DO-254 development and verification process
  • Experience with Universal Verification Method (UVM) or OVM
  • Experience with QuestaSim
  • DO-254 certification experience
  • Displays or Video experience
