FP&A Manager - This is a Direct Hire Onsite role with travel required to other plants as needed.

As an FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) expert, your responsibilities will include providing financial insights and projections to the accounting team. You will provide reliable data and analysis to be used in decision-making and planning. You will prepare accurate monthly financial reports, assist in the preparation of presentations that provide thoughtful analysis, identify action items, and effectively frame decisions that need to be made.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide FP&A finance support to the accounting teams related to productivity, demand planning, reporting, and metrics in a timely manner.
  • Identify and understand business challenges; propose and create solutions.
  • Partner directly with the finance team and controllers to collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews.
  • Create variance analysis reports and financial models for real-time financial performance monitoring
  • Work closely with the leadership team to creates strategies for increasing financial performance and  strategic planning
  • Work with plant controllers and management team to prepare budgets, forecast and create a long term plan
  • Ensure and prepare monthly analysis for audit compliance with financial information and economic indicators
  • Provide guidance and assistance to the operations team to control costs and improve profitability
  • Prepare and present business cases for CAPEX projects
  • Dive deeply into financial data and become a subject matter expert to provide additional insights.
  • Analyze market trends to understand business impact
  • Work on corporate projects and initiatives that impact the entire organization.
  • Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made.
  • Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required. Owning good business acumen and using sound judgment are qualities that must be evident. The FP&A Manager should have strong mathematical abilities, written, and oral communication skills as well as product knowledge. Overall, this person must be one who owns a great work ethic, a positive attitude, and a team approach.

This position reports to the CFO. This position must effectively deal with management teams and support staff at the plant and corporate level and executives as required. There will be travel to visit plants and controllers as opportunities arise, and seminars / conferences as needed.

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree and more than seven years of experience in finance or accounting or a related area
  • General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles
  • Experience developing financial reports and metrics
  • Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment
  • Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture

Compensation you will receive as a Plant Controller:

  • $140,000 - $160,000
