New Product Development Project Manager (Technical)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced New Product Development (NPD) Project Manager to lead end-to-end product development initiatives. This role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment across cross-functional teams, and driving innovative product solutions that improve customer operations and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete project lifecycle, proactively identifying and mitigating schedule, technical, market, and resource risks
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans utilizing structured stage-gate methodologies combined with Agile practices
• Track and report key performance metrics including project velocity, budget alignment, and time-to-market
• Communicate project status, milestone progress, and risk mitigation strategies to stakeholders
• Facilitate daily stand-ups, design reviews, and major milestone meetings
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, test & evaluation, global supply chain, materials, R&D, and simulation
• Promote strong cross-functional collaboration and accountability
• Support short- and long-term capacity planning initiatives

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus 2+ years of project management experience, or
• 5+ years of technical project management experience
• Demonstrated success in a project management or technical leadership role
• Ability to manage competing priorities in dynamic environments
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and team leadership skills

Preferred

• 10+ years of project management experience, ideally in industrial equipment, manufacturing, or controls
• CAPM, PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification
• Experience with Lean principles or continuous improvement methodologies
• Background in New Product Development or similar technical environments
