Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer / PLC Programmer to join our Packaging Machinery Division. This role involves end-to-end electrical project management and control system design for packaging machinery.

Key Responsibilities

•Electrical Project Management: Oversee scheduling, planning, machine power-up, testing, debugging, shipment, and managing change orders.

•Control System Design: Develop control panels, PLC, servo, and HMI programming, along with start-up support.

•Project Estimation: Assess resource needs, parts, and labor costs.

•Troubleshooting: Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issues in design and programming.

•Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with mechanical engineers to identify and implement the best control solutions.

•Documentation: Create electrical schematics, project documentation, and program files for custom machines.

•Project Coordination: Manage multiple assignments to ensure timely delivery within budget.

•Client Interaction: Engage with customers, including Plant Managers (domestic and international), to resolve technical queries during check-outs.

•Support: Work closely with manufacturing, service teams, and customers to address machine challenges.

•Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

•Education: BSEE or BSEET degree (or related automation/controls field) preferred, but not required.

•Experience:

•Minimum 10 years of experience in PLC, servo, and HMI programming and automation project management.

•Proficiency with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens systems, control panel design, and configuring industrial communication networks (Ethernet, Profinet, Profibus).

•Experience in the beverage or consumer products industry is a plus, particularly with high-speed packaging machines.

•Expertise in designing electrical systems for dynamic mechanical timed mechanisms.

•Skills:

•Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

•Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with management, clients, and vendors.

•Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
