Director of Sales
Saige Partners is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of Sales to lead and grow our client's sales function in a manufacturing-focused staffing agency. As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and personally achieving sales targets. This is a hands-on role in which you will also be an individual contributor, responsible for actively generating leads, managing the sales pipeline, and closing deals. This role manages a small team of less than five direct reports, focusing on team metrics, mentorship and motivation to ensure the success of the entire team.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership: Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and market share within the manufacturing staffing industry.
- Individual Contribution: Actively generate new business by prospecting, lead qualification, and executing high-level sales presentations. Meet and exceed personal sales targets.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients in the manufacturing sector. Provide tailored staffing solutions to meet client needs and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Team Management: Oversee sales team by setting performance targets, offering guidance, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Market Analysis: Conduct regular analysis of industry trends, competitors, and client demands to proactively adjust sales strategies and stay competitive.
- Sales Reporting: Track and report on sales activities, client interactions, and key performance metrics. Present results and progress to the executive team and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years of sales experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a sales leadership role, preferably within the staffing or recruiting industry. Strong knowledge of the manufacturing and logistics sector is preferred.
- Skills: Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence clients and team members.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, and motivate a team while also performing as a high-level individual contributor.
- Analytical Thinking: Skilled in using sales analytics and CRM software to make data-driven decisions. Able to develop and implement sales strategies based on industry trends and market data.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (preferred but not required).
