Director of Nursing

Job Overview: Our Cedar Rapids, IA client is adding a new Director of Nursing to their team.  The Director of Nursing is responsible for organizing and overseeing all nursing operations.  To be successful in this role, candidates should be a high performing, hardworking individual who is a natural born leader and prides themselves on integrity.

Responsibilities
The Director of Nursing has the following responsibilities and duties:

• Create an environment that supports residents, their families, and the staff
• Create a staff that provides exceptional customer service and quality management
• Work with state departments and ensure the facility is in compliance
• Create a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies

Requirements
Director of Nursing candidates should have the following skills, education, and experience:

• Registered Nursing Degree required
• Minimum of 2 years of DON experience, preferably in a long-term care community
• Strong leadership/managerial skills
• Strong communication skills
• Strong administrative skills
