Market Data Analyst
Location: Champaign, IL
Job Type: Direct Hire
This is an onsite position based out of Champaign, IL, ideally targeting $95k-$115k/base (negotiable based on experience). 

Saige Partners is partnering with a growing organization seeking a Market Data Analyst to join its Market Data team. This role is ideal for an analytical professional who enjoys working at the intersection of financial markets, technology, and process improvement. You'll support business-critical market data operations while driving automation initiatives, improving workflows, and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to deliver innovative solutions.

What You'll Do

• Provide day-to-day support for market data operations and resolve market data-related issues.
• Participate in business-as-usual (BAU) activities while managing small to large-scale projects.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and implement innovative technology solutions that improve efficiency and user experience.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements for development teams.
• Recommend new tools, processes, and strategies that enhance operational performance.
• Define and document new system functionality to improve daily operations.
• Maintain clear documentation and contribute to knowledge management best practices.
• Monitor operational risks, identify potential issues early, and provide recommendations for resolution.
• Communicate effectively with market data users, subscribers, and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality service and successful project delivery.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience working with financial market data, market data operations, or financial services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
• Knowledge of process improvement, workflow optimization, and automation initiatives.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across both technical and business teams.
• Experience supporting projects and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools; experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, or other automation tools is a plus.
• Ability to identify risks, make informed recommendations, and drive continuous improvement.
