Business Development Manager

Our logistics client is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to spearhead the identification, qualification, and closure of new accounts. This role involves a primary focus on acquiring new customers, as well as nurturing and expanding existing accounts. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with an outgoing, ambitious, and dynamic sales personality.

 

This is a Direct Hire role reporting to the President and Director of Sales and Marketing.


What you will be doing as a Business Development Manager…

  • Cultivate and maintain profitable new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with existing clients to enhance service offerings and overall value
  • Handle negotiations on pricing and contribute to proposal development
  • Implement strategic metrics to enhance pipeline development and closing rates
  • Foster communication and collaboration with supporting departments and business units
  • Utilize Salesforce software to track and manage customer accounts
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports based on established KPIs via Salesforce software
  • Conduct customer visits as needed
Skills you ideally bring to the table as a Business Development Manager…
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Asset sales experience in the trucking industry, preferably with tank trucks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time
  • Professional and approachable interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
