Job Summary:

Location: Nashotah, WI Relocation available

The Automation Engineering Manager will manage the Automation/Manufacturing Engineering Department. Will be involved in the leadership and support on the launching of new products, ensure timeliness and minimal errors, Direct the implementation of new processes, capacity increases, quality and scrap improvements, cost reductions, and support all technical requirements of the manufacturing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive innovative designs using new technology and systems.
  • Guide automation team with electrical, mechanical and software controls focus.
  • Coach and mentor team members in engineering best practices.
  • Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production.
  • Drive processes and standardization in design, programming, components, and schematics.
  • Drive supplier or internal relationships to develop software and systems to performance specifications.
  • Work and collaborate with other cross functional team members across the organization.

Education And Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in mechatronics and automated controls
  • Demonstrated team leadership and project management success
  • Hands-on approach with a proven track record of realizing designs/concepts into production
  • Experience in machine controls and system architecture
  • Understanding of signal processing, data collection systems, and data analysis
  • Excellent problem-solving skills in mechanical and control designs
  • Balance cost/schedule/performance in driving design trade-off discussion
  • Six Signa Black Belt a plus
