Senior Design Engineer

Job Overview: Our Iowa City-Cedar Rapids Area client, in Manufacturing, is seeking to add a NEW Senior Design Engineer to their team. Senior Design Engineer is responsible for development, design, documentation, and testing of industry-leading equipment. To be successful in the role of Sr Design Engineer, you must bring hands on experience in Design Engineering from initial conception through final testing of machine's.

This is a Direct Hire role.

• Experienced in hydraulics, FEAs, electronics, strength of materials, mathematics, industry standards and sensor application.
  
• Design and applications experience in automated machine industry
  
• Interprets data to solve problems through experiments
• Works in multi-functional teams
  
• Ability to manage project timelines collaborating across departments
• Acts as a Project Lead 
• Oversees and evaluates field installations recommending modifications as needed
• Adheres to all safety procedures protocols and policies

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
  
• Minimum 5 years of product design experience
  
• Modeling and documentation skills
  
• FEA experience preferred 
  
• CAD experience, SolidWorks preferred
• Microsoft Office Suite experience
  
• Strong oral and written communication skills
